I think I need to stop looking at glass serving pieces when I'm out and about, thrifting. There are so many lovely ones...and three more have come home with me.
I used this one the other day to toast almonds for the English Toffee. I have never, ever seen such an adorable pie plate, have you? No, seriously - have you? I didn't know they made decorative ones, other than pyrex with a fluted edge and wee handles (I have one of those too.). But this one is my instant favorite. I like the intricate design on something that can be used every day.
These two are great too - that's a potato salad bowl if I ever saw one. It's just the right size for a fruit bowl too, and I love the pattern. It's fairly deep in the glass, so it's easy to grasp and carry.
This is the biggest divided tray I have...and dearies, I think I have to stop with the divided trays. I have wee ones, middle size ones, and now, this bodacious baby. But....how perfect for long sticks of celery or carrots, some dilly beans nestled in that mid-size section, and then pickled beets and sweet pickles in the small sections. So pretty...and useful.
So if you see me in a thrift store, or at a yard sale, clutching yet another glass serving piece, please stop me! I do love pickles, but there are only so many you can put on the table at once!
Wishing you thrifty, gracious living,

When you get these, check the ridges. The more defined, the older the piece. The molds wore after awhile leaving the pieces with more rounded ridges.
I have some clear glass pieces, I had tons but no where to put htem so they went to another.
I hope you enjoy yours!

I probably don't have a lot of pieces compared to many people, but enough for us, I think. Unless, of course, I find something I cannot resist! I just think they are so pretty, and practical too, because we use them frequently, and they go with everyday or fancy plates just fine!
I have tons of glass dishes and bowls that are taking up several shelves in my cabinets. I will sort them out and the next time one of us goes to see the other one other than flying, they can come along.
Was wondering what to do with them.
Oh, yes, you already talked me out of a cranberry sauce bowl, didn't you? Luckily I found another one for a couple of bucks. None of the others fit as well as that particular one.
