New Feature - What'cha Workin' On Wednesday - PLUS a Giveaway!

Hello, Dearies!

I'm going to start something new and fun. Wednesdays at Ten Things Farm I need to know:

What'cha Workin' On?

Are you doing a craft? Re-finishing a piece of furniture? Piecing a quilt? Crocheting a scarf? Whatever it is that you're working on, blog it at your blog, then leave a link here so we can all see! We want to see your felting, your cross stitch, your painting, jewelry, stamping, scrapbook pages - if you created it, please share it here.

A couple quick rules:

1. Please link directly to the post that is about your own What'cha. If you just link to your blog, someone will come back and read this post in a year, and they'll never find the posting about the kimono you're sewing. Plus, if you just link to your blog, I'll remove the link...just as soon as I learn how to do that. (I have known how to do 'Mr. Linky' for all of seven minutes!)

2. If you sell on Etsy or elsewhere - cool! Feel free to mention it in your blog post, but please do not link directly to your selling site - this is more about a specific project than the body of your work.

3. This is a family blog. Please, no links to anything inappropriate, lest I have to learn how to remove those links too. If you wouldn't show it to your four-year-old neighbor kid or your conservative grandma, please don't link it here.

Thanks!

If you don't have a blog, well, you could start one, or if you prefer, leave a comment and let us know What'cha Workin' On, OK?

I used to do all sorts of arts and crafts. I didn't realize how much I missed it until recently, when I started back again. I think that as an at-home mom, a lot of what I do (a lot of what all of us do) is not very permanent. Wash the dishes, they get dirty again. Same with clothes. Cook a meal, and just a few hours later, it's time to do it again. Dust..well, we all know about that. I think one reason I'm enjoying crafting is that when I'm done, there is usually some thing to show for it.

This week I've spent as much time sorting and organizing as anything, but now my craft room is a lot more manageable. It's also really full - I have plenty of things I can work on. This week I did a little stamping:

What did you do? Link below so we can see.

When is she going to mention the giveaway? RIGHT NOW! Everyone who links and everyone who leaves a comment (you can do both) by next Tuesday night (2-2-10) will be entered in the giveaway. I'll send the winner an assortment of the greeting cards and envelopes I made this week.

I can hardly wait to see everything - I know it will be wonderful.

Somehow, my craft room has morphed into a storage room, so I'm workin' on clearing it out so I can get to the projects I want to work on. Maybe next week...

What a great idea. I can't link because I haven't actually done it yet, but as soon as my oldest gets home from school we are tacking the office/toy room. It's a chaotic mess and I can't stand it any longer!

I am painting my room. I am in LOVE with this color! It is a soft dove gray. So peaceful and serene! It is not a *cool* color, not a *warm* color--just neutral, but somehow looks *cozy*. I have one wall left to do, and honestly, I am already sleeping better! Put me in the give-away...I will start my *What 'Cha Doing Wednesdays* blogs next Wednesday and do the linkie thing.
I am working on some quilting, and will have photos posted on my Thursday post,

I don't have a blog and don't know how to. Barely know how to turn on computer but I am working on a Where's Waldo Scarf and Hat. Red and white strips. The scarf is complete and I am finishing up the hat. I love your samplers. I need to get out my cross stitch and finish mine.
Oh, I could really use some new cards. I've been working on making baby #3 so my craft time has been limited. She's due any day, then we'll be blessed with 3 under 3 years old so I'm not sure when I'll get back to making my own cards :)

I am working on crocheting a baby blanket for my sister. With a 4-month-old, I know you can never have too many. They are always getting drooled or spit up on. Anyhow, I love your blog and thanks for the giveaway! The cards are beautiful. reporterkc(at)gmail(DOT)com.

Sad but I had to pick a project. January has been busy for me! I finished a flower girl dress last week & that was a lot of fun! Great idea for a give away!

I just learned to embroider so I have been working on a borth announcement for a friend. I have to say that your handmade cards are just beautiful and you can see all the time and effort you put into them. Keep it up.

Well, I have a blog but I've been too busy working on my project to post pics to it. :) I just finished making cloth napkins which, to some people, might not seem hard. But I've just learned to sew so it too quite a while to make all 16!
