Menu Plan Monday - Mama Has a Cold Edition!

I have this little cold - just enough to make me want to lay around and nap all day, but thankfully, no fever or chest congestion. Today I made a pot of chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles. Little Bit helped me and we had a great time. We froze the extras in little 'nests', because all my drying racks were full of laundry.

This week's menu leans on convenience foods a bit - some are homemade convenience foods too! Here is our plan:

Breakfasts:
(some will repeat)
cold cereal, fruit and milk
yogurt, granola, fruit and milk or juice
oatmeal with fruit and nuts (peanut butter and raisins is yummy!), milk
sliced zucchini bread, fruit and milk
bran muffins, fruit and milk

Lunches will be mostly leftovers from the previous day's supper, plus I'll be making something fabulous just for me (I'm the only one who likes it, hee hee) once I'm feeling some better. If you like Indian food, check back later in the week for pictures and the recipe. :)

Snacks:
chex mix
chips and homemade salsa
bran muffins
fresh fruit (apples, oranges, clementines, pears)
dried fruit, nuts and cheerios mixed together as trail mix
zucchini bread
string cheese
yogurt

Suppers:

M: Spaghetti w/Homemade Meatballs (from the freezer), Home-canned green beans, Homemade Garlic Breadsticks (freezer), Home-canned Pears

T: Chef Salad with Turkey and Cheese, Wheat Rolls, Apples

W: Corned Beef (freezer), Mashed Potatoes (freezer), Stirfry of Cabbage, Carrots and Onions, Home-canned Peaches (possibly cobbler)

R: Teriyaki Beef, Rice, Macaroni Salad, Frozen Mixed Vegetables, Kim Chee, Clementines

F: Sliced Turkey Breast (freezer), Au Gratin Potatoes (box), Assorted (leftover) Vegetables, Apples

Sa: Burritos with all the Fixins, Chips and Homemade Salsa, Cherry Pie (Home-canned Cherry Pie Filling)

Su: French Onion Soup, Cheese Bread, Roast Sticky Chicken, Rice Pilaf w/Vegetables, Cherry Pie

Thanks to Laura (another Laura, not me) for hosting Menu Plan Monday! Check back in the next day or two for a new giveaway, too. Happy planning and cooking, y'all!

Sheesh, Girl. I must get a lot lazier when I'm down with a cold, because your menu looks pretty extensive to me. Heehee!

We honestly haven't eaten much Indian food ~ I'll be anxious to check out your recipe to see if it's something we might introduce to our taste buds!

When I was sick last week we had a lot of frozen foods so I'm in awe of your "sick" menu!
