Fall Arrives at Ten Things Farm

I spent half the day cleaning the kitchen (and I'm not done yet!), but we also got our home ready for fall...

We gutted and baked a homegrown pumpkin after breakfast. Little Bit would like to try pumpkin pancakes in the morning.

We made some arrangements, and decorated some pumpkins too.

This is the tiniest pumpkin this year. Little Bit grew it herself!

And this is her favorite decoration!

It glows!

I will, Ali! When this morning arrived she wanted cheerios, but we'll make pumpkin pancakes soon, and I'll post them for you. :)

Hi Laura! How are you? I have a special kind of pumpkin this year that is new to me. It's a fairy tale pumpkin, squatter than normal, just like Cinderella's coach, and softer in color. It's so pretty! I look forward to following your adventures on your blog.

Welcome, Karen! Compared to your most exciting life, we are coasting downhill in first gear - hope you enjoy!

Those Cinderella pumpkins are so pretty. I tried to raise a blue-gray variety of them this year, but we had so much hail that they never had a chance. Maybe next year!

Jackie, I'm planning to make them in the morning, and then use the rest of the pumpkin for either a whole grain pumpkin bread or some pumpkin custard. Stay tuned! ;)

Hey Cat!
I love your decorations.
That little stove has got to be my favorite though.Where did you find it?
Love and God bless,

Thanks, Grammy Goo!

Helen, I love that wee cookstove too! It is missing a couple pieces - I have them, and need to epoxy them in place or something. There are side pieces that just won't stay put!

I got it at a museum gift shop in Cripple Creek, Colorado a few years ago. I'm not a gambler, so whenever we go up there, I wander the little town, go to the museum, stuff like that. :)
