It's that time of year again!
Last year we went into a local Ace Hardware store and were very pleasantly surprised to find garden seeds for 25 cents a packet. I was thinking the other day that I should check to see if they have marked them down for the end of the year.
This year they weren't 25 cents a packet. They were ten cents! Also, they had bags with four ounces of seed for sweet corn, peas, green beans - ten cents each!
We got most everything for next year's garden, some flowers, some fun stuff (like cotton - cool!) and spend $12.46 with sales tax.
We got 116 packets or bags of seed. That is just plain silly, but seeds can be frozen and kept for more than just one year...or shared with gardening friends!
