It's Wednesday - What'cha Workin' On?
You know, this whole thing was inspired when I finally cleared off my work table. Truth be told, I got things more or less sorted that first week, but there is still organizing to be done.
I spent most of my craft time this week just sorting things out, with a focus on sewing supplies and notions. I have a LOT of thread. I don't have nearly as many buttons as I thought I did. I have one mint green zipper. I don't know why. But now, I know where to find them - woo hoo!
I do have a little something to show you. I had these over-size glass blobs, for lack of a better term. I also had magnets, and lots of small images that I like.
I gathered up some images I liked, traced around the glass to get the general shape, them trimmed them to fit (you have to trim a good bit inside the line, and there is a little trial and error. The most fun was figuring out which images to use, the precise placement, all that. After using decoupage to attach the images to the flat sides of the blobs (and getting out all the little air bubbles), I let them dry overnight. Then I hot-glued magnets to the backs. It is not difficult to do at all, and look how pretty!
One of my sources for tiny pictures is a book of posters. It must be from one of those poster stores like they have in malls or something - I got it at a yard sale - and it's full of beautiful images, all about 2 inches wide and 3 inches high. I ended up with a lot of these fridge magnets, including some 'Maisy' ones that Little Bit has fallen in love with.
And now - the good stuff! What are YOU working on? Leave a link below so we can all inspire one another! Please link directly to your creative blog post - not just the front page of your blog - and please keep it family friendly!

Now, on to the next project...!
Still learning! :)
The pantry looks wonderful!!!
I love the magnets, but don't want to clutter up my fridge with any more magnets.
