Super Savings Saturday!

Thanks to Money Saving Mom for hosting Super Savings Saturday - it's fun to see all the bargains.

We spent a little on groceries this week, but mostly we've been eating from our pantry and the fresh produce we picked up last week. Here are this week's purchases:

Walmart
1 head romaine (price matched) 88 cents
1 22 oz. bag Mission tortilla chips 2.50
4 pouches StarKist tuna - free w/coupons
Total: $3.38

Target
2 4packs YoPlus yogurt 50 cents each after coupons
1 lb. baby carrots 49 cents after coupon
8 oz. fresh mushrooms 49 cents after coupon
Total: $1.98

King Sooper
3 pkg. Mission Tortillas 25 cents each after coupons
2 bags Halls cough drops 3.5 cents each (sales tax) after coupons
Total: 82 cents

(I had some other things I intended to pick up at King Sooper, but they were out of them. We have a field trip on Tuesday in town, so I might check then. If not, we'll be OK either way.)

Even with cough drops, which aren't exactly food, we spent $6.18 this week. Last week there were great sales on oranges, apples, etc., so we just didn't need that much. We have plenty of milk and cheese too. The tortillas are already in the freezer for future use and the tuna is in the pantry. Come back Monday to see our menu for the week. Also, I'll be putting up a new giveaway soon!

Happy savings,
-Laura
