Do they still make these? Does anybody know?

Welcome to my weird craving. There used to be a sucker that was green and tan, swirled together. It was caramel apple and boy oh boy, was it good! I think they were made by the Charms (Charms blow-pop) company, but I'm not positive. They were not the round ball shape like a blow pop - they were flattened out.

I was looking for them in a store today, to no avail. Then again, I probably haven't had one in ten years, so maybe they got tired of waiting for me to buy another bag of them and quit production.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Better yet, does anyone know where I can find them? Leave a comment and let me know! :)

Edited to add: On Valentines day I found them in Safeway! I had looked in lots of different places, even made some calls, to no avail. But now I have some - yaaaaay!

Even though your post about your randy roosters horrified me (poor hens!) I decided to help you out.

No idea, but I've found stuff that tasted great in my younger years are actually kinda icky now.

I can't remember exactly what it was, but I recently saw something at the store and shared my fond memories of said food item with my husband... and it just didn't taste as good as I remembered! :)

Have you tried Toys R Us or your local bulk store? I'm sure I saw them around halloween

Thanks Gwyn! I'm going to try to find them local. It just doesn't seem right to buy candy online - it that what the 'net is for? ;)

Sorry, Mary. Farm life isn't always pretty. If it helps, she's doing great, healing nicely.

LeahS, the very fact that you think that ten years ago was my "younger years" makes you definite best friend material! Bless you for that comment! I know what you mean, though. I had a similar experience a while back. I won't say what product, because I don't want the Moon Pie people to sue me! ;)

Scottish Witch, someone else said I might have to wait for Autumn. I'll check ToysRUs...thanks!

I'm also thinking maybe Target? Don't they do a lot of retro candies?

Oh, those are awesome. I'll look at my store for you if I think of it. We have 50,000 grocery items (more than any store in our state). If I find them, I'll send them your way!!

Thanks Toni! I'm going to be in town tomorrow, and I plan to check a few places myself! :)

(Psst...fellow bloggers...if you want to get comments, ask people about candy! lol)

Welllllll, I was super excited because I found some at my store! I bought you a bag, can you mail me your address? I'd keep them for myself, but I HATE sour apple. I've been meaning to mail you something for a long time, so no worries!!

Thanks, Toni! I'll PM you over at the tavern. Safeway had 2 bags (I just got one), so who knows - they may not have them ever again. I recently found a soda I liked a lot, and as soon as I bought some, my store discontinued it...lol. You're such a sweetie, do you know that?

What was the soda? Maybe we have that too :) I'll send you these and you can let me know if they run out and I can be your caramel apple sucker dealer :)
