A Little Girl Learns About (Frugal) Giving.
Thursday was our giving day. We took 3 bags of stuff to the food pantry - all purchased with sales and coupons! Thanks to sites like moneysavingmom.com we have been able to give a lot of items that we get free or nearly free. It's a great way to help Little Bit learn about being frugal and sharing at the same time!
We gathered up all of this...
and we took it here.
They have started weighing the items that people donate. When the lady said she was going to put all the food items on the scale, look who hopped on!
We had 19 pounds of food, an unknown weight of feminine products and men's shirts, and 31 pounds of Cutie Pie.
I didn't let them keep her, though. We had more giving to do! We stopped at Walmart to drop off the gift for our 'Secret Grandma'.
Great job, Little Bit! I was so proud of her. She told the lady at the food pantry, "We used our coupons and got some things for you." She said something similar to the lady at Walmart...that we put some 'good deals' in the back with the clock. It was a busy day!
If you look at the pictures, you may notice some tired eyes on our little one. Turns out she received something this week too, because when we got home, she wanted to take a nap. She felt warm, so I took her temperature. She had a mild fever yesterday afternoon and last night but thankfully, no other symptoms. After a call to 'ask a nurse' we gave her some chicken soup, juice, a clementine orange and some tylenol. She is much better today and her fever is gone. We're going to take it easy while she recuperates!

I was really tickled when she was telling people about 'good deals'. She is doing a great job sharing! :)
I see she gained a couple of pounds. I'm so proud of both of you!
Oh, yes, everybody, I'm Mom and Grandma, so of course I'm proud!!!
Little Bit is feeling better...I have a bit of a scratchy throat, but nothing major. I think we'll all survive!
