Ten Goals

Last week went fairly well....I think I got more done than I would have without any goals....

Faith and Family
1. Continue to read One Thousand Gifts by Anne Voskamp Oh, how I love this book!
2. Continue to look for a children's or family devotional to do with my daughter each day Well, I have found some that are online that are okay, but I can't seem to subscribe to them like the adult ones, where one just arrives via email each day.  Still searching.  Meanwhile, we find things here and there....so I am going to remove this from the goal list, but keep looking.
3. Begin my own list of One Thousand Gifts I am sharing these on my blog in the posts titled Eucharisteo.

House and Home
4. Shell one 2 quart bowl of pecans  I did one quart, and I think I'll reduce this goal to one quart per week for now.
5. Clean the adhesive off the garage siding, near the windows
6. Work at least two rows per day on afghan for bedroom
7. Clean bathroom window, inside and out  half is better than none, I guess!

Personal and Health
8. Drink four (16oz.) glasses of water per day  I'm making progress but not quite 'there' yet.
9. Continue to use book The Solution to work out healthier lifestyle plan
10. Go for a long walk where I can get active and spend some time with God This helped my week so, so much!

And now...this week!
Faith and Family
1. Continue to read One Thousand Gifts by Anne Voskamp
2. Continue my list of One Thousand Gifts

House and Home
4.  Shell 1 quart pecans
5.  Continue to work on afghan for our bedroom, averaging 2 rows per day
6.  Clean the adhesive off the garage siding, near the windows (weather permitting)
7.  Clean up/organize craft room so that it's more use-able

Personal and Health
8.  Continue to increase daily water intake toward 4 glasses a day.
9.  Walk 15 minutes a day on the treadmill, or take a 15 minute walk outside, or swim - 5 days a week.
10. Work on making better breakfast choices - a protein smoothie 3x a week, etc.

What do you plan to accomplish this week?

You got a lot done! Lists make getting things done so much easier for me, too.

Hey--we got some pecans a few weeks ago and they are still sitting in a plastic bag on my counter. What do I do with them? They are raw, I'm sure, from someone's tree. Thanks in advance!

Kristi, are they shelled? If they are, pop them in the freezer and store them there, then used them just like you would pecans you buy in a bag in the baking aisle at the store. You can toast them if you want to, but the raw ones have a wonderful sweetness that I just love. It is best to shell them before freezing them, so if they're not shelled, you'd want to get that done first.

This week at Sprouts, shelled pecans are on SALE for $9 a pound. Yikety yike yike yike!! I am very, very thankful for my big box of them...and I'll have them all in the freezer eventually! :)
