Ongoing Goals

Last Saturday (not yesterday, but a week ago) we had our first chicken program at the library.  It was so. much. fun!  We really had a great time.  At the end of the program, a little boy came to thank me, and sneezed, pretty much all over me.  By Monday I was full-on sick.  Truth be told, I think I got off fairly easy.  It wasn't the flu, just a somewhat quick sinus infection.  Feeling much better now, but I can see that being under the weather affected my goal performance:

Faith and Family
> continue with daily devotionals ongoing :)
>write two encouraging notes to church members/friends ongoing :)
> pray daily for my husband and daughter ongoing :)
> second sewing lesson with my daughter
> institute family game/movie night (Last Friday we played a board game after supper, this Friday will be a movie, and we'll alternate.) Finding Nemo was our movie, and it was a big hit!
> institute a family activity on the weekend - something active like hiking, sledding, etc. With the chicken program, church, and starting to feel sick, this just didn't happen.
> plan Sunday school lesson
> bake something to take to church on Sunday I took banana bread - it disappeared.

House and Home
> shell 3 bowls of pecans I have got to get on this task!  Sadly, 'the bowl' I've been using got broken this week.
> plan menu based on items on hand to reduce pantry and save money
> clean oven and see if I can figure out how to adjust it (safely!)
> work on organizing home library - better organize the nonfiction books. Currently they are grouped by topic...sort of...and I want to go through and get them better organized. ugh!  I may remove this one for a while.
> finalize weekly home care plan for homemaker's binder no progress here either!
> work at least two rows per day on afghan for bedroom.  It's about 1/3 done and coming along nicely!

Personal and Health
> add information to one tab on this blog
> drink four (16oz.) glasses of water per day  I completely fell off the water wagon this week.
> continue to use book The Solution to work out healthier lifestyle plan  Reading just made me sleepy.
> three exercise sessions where I can get active and listen to God (I've been very reluctant with this - the exercise part, not the God part.)  um. no.
> make some free time each day to rejuvinate  does sleeping count?
> 7+ hours of sleep per night  score!  I slept myself silly!  Early to bed, not so early to rise, and I think that's the main reason I'm feeling so much better!

This is a new week.  I'm dialing back a bit on the goals and I'm commiting to:

Faith and Family
> continue with daily devotionals
>write two encouraging notes to church members/friends
> pray daily for my husband and daughter
> second sewing lesson with my daughter
> institute family game/movie night (Last Friday we played a board game after supper, this Friday will be a movie, and we'll alternate.)
> institute a family activity on the weekend - something active like hiking, sledding, etc.
> plan Sunday school lesson
> bake something to take to church on Sunday

House and Home
> shell one 2 quart bowl of pecans
> plan menu based on items on hand to reduce pantry and save money
> finalize weekly home care plan for homemaker's binder
> work at least two rows per day on afghan for bedroom
> clean kitchen window
> Stay home more.  Lately, it feels as if I'm needing to run over to the little town nearby rather often.  I want to reduce these little trips and have more time at home (and more fuel in my gas tank).  I'm going to attempt to do all the nearby errands (bank, library, walmart, etc.) Wednesday, and only Wednesday.

Personal and Health
> add information to one tab on this blog
> drink four (16oz.) glasses of water per day
> continue to use book The Solution to work out healthier lifestyle plan
> go for a long walk where I can get active and spend some time with God
> make some free time each day to rejuvinate
> 7+ hours of sleep per night

What about you?  What do you plan to accomplish this week?  What did you get done last week?  Leave a comment and share! :)
