A Peek at Our Week

We have had a nice week with lots going on. 

Sunday afternoon we loaded up a few hens and went to one of the local libraries to do a chicken program.  The children really enjoy learning about chickens, eggs, hobby farming and more!  Mostly, though, they like to pet the hens.  Me too!  There were over 100 attendees, and since I had to keep an eye on the chickens and everything, I don't have any photos of the acutal program...just some chicken pics.  These are some of my Silkies....the white ones are roosters.

This is Marigold.  She loves me.  I love her too.

Someone lost a tooth!  She has another that is very loose as well.  Exciting times!  (for us, at least!)  We celebrated that evening with milk and cookies :)

We made our own school field trip to the Museum of Nature and Science.  This was actually Daughter's Christmas present from us - since she's all but drowning in toys, we gave her an experience this year instead of yet. another. toy.  :)  We had a wonderful time and saw quite a bit of the museum!

We've discussed it, and we have new plans for this space....

We also got snow!  Completely unexpected, pretty white snow!  Hooray!

All that plus school at home, routine chores and we had a fun, busy week!  What have you been up to?
