I have this book.

It seems like I've been mentioning a good lot of books lately. Perhaps that's because we have a good lot of them, and we love them so much.

The book I'm looking at right now is one that a dear heart sent me a few years ago. She was done with it, and wanted to find it a new home...and that new home was ours. It is a lovely book, and any time I feel a bit down, I pull it out, read a bit, and I feel some better. It is The Book of Positive Quotations, compiled and arranged by John Cook.

Thank you, Stacey, wherever you may be these days. (Stacey and I have since lost touch, due to changes in message board membership, time spent online, and other such things. I miss her.)

It recently occurred to me that I should share some of these lovely quotes with you, because then they will bless you too. Also, there are 543 (double column!) pages of them, so when I'm having a busy day, expect a positive quote...or two...or five!

Without further ado...

"Let God love you through others and let God love others through you."
-D.M. Street

"We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand...and melting like a snowflake. Let us use it before it is too late."
-Marie Beynon Ray

"It is quite useless knocking at the door of heaven for earthly comfort. It's not the sort of comfort they supply there."
-C.S. Lewis

"If you would hit the mark, you must aim a little above it; every arrow that flies feels the attraction of earth."
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

"Courage is the power to let go of the familiar."
-Raymond Lindquist

I will share more on another busy day.

Blessings,
-Laura at TenThingsFarm

I particularly like the quote by C.S. Lewis. It's perfectly brilliant!

Thanks for sharing, and I'll look forward to more!
