Oh, Happy Day!

I read about the concept of seasons in a few different books when Little Bit was just a little, tiny bit. The idea that each little thing only lasts a little while. You're overwhelmed by a stage of development, then *poof*, that one's gone and there's something new to figure out. Very, very true.

I get pretty sappy about Little Bit's growing up. It really is happening fast, and sometimes I feel like the days are flying by too fast...but this is a happy, happy day.

I took those safety clips off the kitchen cabinets. I probably could have done it earlier, especially since I taught her how to open them herself several months ago. Gone are the days when I have to open a cabinet a little, push down on a lever, then open it the rest of the way.

WOO HOO!!

Goody Gumdrops!!! Now Grandma can open your cabinet doors when she's there without piddling around for five minutes. Ha, Ha.

She really is growing up fast and so smart she's leaving us all in the dust.

Love all of you to pieces.

Love,

Granny Ladybug

I know! The only problem I'm having is that my hands 'remember' the latch, and I still pause to open it! I suppose that will fix with time...or not...

Yay!!! I remember celebrating like this when I no longer had to lug a diaper bag with us everywhere we went. Small victories!
Oh, hang on to these days as long as you can. My baby turns 18 years old tomorrow! I can't even describe the way I feel. I just try to imagine how *my* mom feels ~ her baby recently turned 40! Heehee!

Believe me, I am hanging ont as best I can, without stunting her growth. I'm a sappy mom as it is, you know. Sometimes I get teary-eyed when I'm helping her with some little thing, because I know that the days where she needs my help are numbered. *sniff*
