Menu Plan Monday - Around the House Edition!
I'm not even going to put these in order this week - and I'm just going to assume that we won't quite get to each of them. Some of these things have been on the menu for a couple weeks already and we still haven't had them! Sometimes, things come up. One day last week, we had something (was it Beef Broccoli?) that only used a little piece of the beef, so I needed to do something with the rest of the beef I had thawed. We had beef fajitas...which meant we didn't later have the turkey fajitas, which led to some other adjustment. Honestly, it doesn't matter all that much, because even when we change it up, we generally change it up by eating some other thing from our own pantry or freezer.
So, in no particular order, here are some meals for this coming week:
Marinated Pork Chops, Baked Butternut Squash, Au Gratin Potatoes, Steamed Broccoli, Baked Apples
Lasagna (homemade from the freezer), Garden Salad, Breadsticks, Fruit Salad
Roasted Sticky Chicken, Roasted Winter Vegetables, Green Beans, Apple Cobbler
Meatballs in Sweet/Sour Sauce, Brown Rice, Asian Style Steamed Vegetables, Saute' Mushrooms, Ambrosia
Barbecue Chicken Pizza, Raw Vegetable Sticks (carrots, celery, turnips) w/dip, Fruit Salad
Hamburgers on Homemade Buns, Mixed Pickle Plate, Oven Baked Potato Fries (assorted), Fruit Smoothie Shakes
Egg Rolls with Plum Sauce, Saimin with Won Tons and Vegetables, Ice Cream Sundaes
We have everything on hand for all these meals. If I remember, I might pick up some hot mustard at the Asian market - that would be good with the Egg Rolls...and while I'm there, maybe some won bok to make kimchee? We'll see. Truth, we have plenty of good, wholesome food on hand, so I don't need to go to stores at all, unless I'm picking up great sales and freebies! Happy cookin', y'all!
