Family Time!
Grandma and Grandpa were recently here for a visit - that's part of the reason I haven't posted anything of late. We had a lovely time, but we frequently forgot to bring the camera along. So, no photos of fishing or cookie baking, but a few at the zoo!
Oh, and this one - just after Grandma and Grandpa arrived with pressies for Little Bit. She loves her leis and her treats.
Mostly, we have zoo photos to share. We bought an annual membership, so we can go as often as we like! With someone who is not quite four years old, this is great - we don't have to do it all every time. But I do think we have to feed the giraffes every time!
We saw lots of amazing animals - these are just a few of them:
It's not a huge zoo, but they've done a good job making sure there are some hands-on activities for littles. There are benches and statues to sit on or pet, along with some areas where you get to be right in with the animals.
The elephants were separate from the people.
The wallabies were not! We were right in the area with them.
Tigers - separate. Thank goodness!
Peafowl - up close and personal!
Our little hatchling.
Little Bit can be shy at times...but she warmed up to Grandma and Grandpa the moment they walked in the door. We spent a lot of our time just visiting, laughing, and eating good food. We had a lot of fun, and look forward to seeing them again some day soon!
